Having taught GCSE Art and Textiles for sixteen years working with two different exam boards along the way, I can appreciate the pressures and ever rising standards students are facing to reach the top grades, an Art subject certainly occupies hours of their spare time on top of juggling other GCSE subjects, this can be very daunting and isolating for a young person tying to keep up with deadlines. My tuition course here at the bake and crafthouse is designed to support students with their individual set themes weather they need to improve their course work assignments set by their school or the examination unit set by the examination boards.
I very much believe in teaching students to take ownership for their work, I would hope that each student completing the course will build in confidence and apply the skills they have picked up along the way to their continued hard work and future Art studies.
